#1(1994, 1995, 1996): You begin to ride north. Then, slowly at first but with increasing sureness, the horse begins beating its powerful wings. You rise majestically through the air, sailing gracefully across a chasm where the hills fall away. The horse lands gently on the far side and deposits you, taking to the skies again. #2(1997): 1) HEAT. Temperatures have been known to reach 135 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer months, and temperatures in the 120s are not uncommon even in the winter. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are very common. Should you find yourself in the desert during one of these periods of extreme heat, it is vital that you find a source of shade IMMEDIATELY. Ice and cold liquids are also indispensible. #3(1998): A mess of confused emotions and thoughts, with the repugnant odour of unresolved pain seeping out of cracks in the surface. Self-doubt rests heavy in the air. A man surprises and secretly delights you with his attentions. Does he love you? Do you love him? An examination looms, causing turbulence. You can also see your friends here. #4(1983): Linder stands at least six foot, with a powerful frame but quick actions, like a cat. His eyeglasses sit on top of his head, where thin strands of long black hair go here and there, mostly combed backward. His wide-set hazel eyes size you up quickly from within their pouches in his ruddy face. He wears a silk peach-colored Mandarin shirt and chocolate trousers, impeccably tailored and laundered, but sweat gleams on his high forehead, and he looks as though he hasn't slept much lately. Suddenly, a clap of thunder rolls across the hills outside. #5(2001): Cement and glass reach into the sky. In the distance, buildings fade to dusty yellow. Closer to the ground, billboards and animated displays canopy overtop the glutted streets. Figures crowd the walkways, wearing dust masks and each holding spidery umbrellas to shield themselves from the sun. #6(2001): You enter the theater and sit down with the rest of the audience. The door swings closed behind you. Theater You are sitting on a chair in the theater. A comedian is telling jokes on the stage. The comedian says: What else is black and white and red all over? A newspaper. The audience laughs hysterically. #7(1995): The pyramidal Monument, built by the (very eccentric) Hungarian who laid out the park, dominates this corner. It isn't very pleasing to the eye. Although the party's organisers planned to bounce flashy lasers off the tip, somehow they don't seem to have got round to it. #8(1987): The hacker sits comfortably on an office chair facing a terminal table, or perhaps it's just a pile of old listings as tall as a terminal table. He is typing madly, using just two fingers, but achieves speeds that typists using all ten fingers only dream of. He is apparently debugging a large assembly language program, as the screen of his terminal looks like a spray of completely random characters. The hacker is dressed in blue jeans, an old work shirt, and what might once have been running shoes. Hanging from his belt is an enormous ring of keys. He is in need of a bath. #9(1977): You are in a debris room filled with stuff washed in from the surface. A low wide passage with cobbles becomes plugged with mud and debris here, but an awkward canyon leads upward and west. #10(2001): "I thought I saw a little girl Free from the black murder: I looked again and found it was Covered in filthy burr. Have we have met once before my child? How old ja say joo were?"
